What is SCEC?

The Security Construction and Equipment Committee (SCEC) is an interagency body responsible for evaluating, approving, and advising on the physical security requirements, construction methods, equipment and systems used to protect Australian Government classified assets. SCEC provides the framework that ensures government facilities including those handling classified information are built, upgraded, and maintained to stringent protective security standards.

SCEC‑endorsed consultants are trusted specialists who understand the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF), ASIO Technical Notes, Defence Security Principles Framework (DSPF), and other regulatory instruments that govern how secure zones (Zone 1–5) must be designed, constructed, certified, and maintained.

Choosing a SCEC consultant is choosing trust, precision, and absolute alignment with Commonwealth security standards.

With our experience, accreditation and proven delivery history, Waterhouse Consulting provides the confidence that your secure spaces are designed, built, and assessed to the highest protective security standards.
